What is theWorkbook?

theWorkbook (formerly Casting Workbook) is a global, full-service entertainment platform with 40+ proprietary applications supporting talent, casting, talent representation, producers, content creators, streamers, and distributors worldwide. Serving members in 64 countries, theWorkbook helps industry professionals collaborate efficiently, stay inclusive, and succeed in a rapidly changing landscape.

Over the past couple of years, we began creating additional applications specifically for production executives, streamers, and distributors—products designed to address sweeping industry changes and help maintain operational continuity during organizational shifts. Not only do we remain fully committed to our core community of talent, agents, managers, and casting directors, we see the additional features as a major benefit to them.  This expansion naturally led us to adopt a name that better reflects our inclusive, end-to-end capabilities.

Importantly, theWorkbook still includes everything Casting Workbook has built over the past two decades, but now we’re also sharing our platform with executive production professionals for a more complete and efficient solution. And since many in the industry have casually referred to us as “the Workbook” for years, it felt like the right time to evolve our brand—in a way, this rebrand was your idea too!

There will be no change to your existing membership or subscription logins. All of your current materials and data will remain intact. In fact, you’ll now benefit from a more seamless connection with the decision makers and teams you already work with. Plus, as we continue to enhance the platform, new features will be rolled out across all user groups—ensuring you receive the same world-class service you expect, with even more capabilities to support your success.

They stay the same—your current login details will continue to work just as before.

Absolutely. TheWorkbook is now the single most comprehensive casting and production platform under one roof. In addition to new features tailored for producers and streamers, it enables seamless connections and private, integrated sharing across the board.

We’re also excited to introduce three main products that provide insights from industry leaders:

  • Center Stage – our digital magazine.
  • The Green Room – featuring interviews with Hollywood’s biggest stars and directors discussing their upcoming movies and TV releases.
  • The Working Actor – our weekly interview series available in both Spanish and English.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our CONTENT menu above. As we continue to develop the platform, every user will benefit from enhanced tools and expanded capabilities.

Your workflow will remain consistent, though we’re continuously making improvements based on your feedback—and we’ll keep you informed as we roll them out.

For talent and representatives, it’s a great idea to keep your content current and up-to-date since your details will be shared more fully within the system with decision makers. Plus, as theWorkbook is a single comprehensive platform, your materials aren’t scattered across multiple services—they’re global and available like never before.

Your profile, data, and content remain the same and fully secure, and you continue to decide when, and how it is shared.  As we add new features or preferences, we’ll keep you informed so you can grow with the platform.
